The French and Indian war was the war that made America. First off the war debt was the reason the parliament started imposing taxes on the colonists in the first place. Since France was not very happy about the British winning the war, it lead to France helping the colonists in the revolutionary war, which was a very important element to the colonies victory. The parliament also started taxing the colonists because of the war debt. The sugar taxes was to try and help the British get out of their debt, and without the debt the colonist would not have had the argument over "taxation without representation". Without that argument there would not have been a thought about breaking away from England. The main reason that the French and Indian war made America was because of the war debt that the war created because of the French and Indian war. George Washington played a big role in the French and Indian war. He wrote a journal about his adventure through the Ohio River Valley. George Washington was also a major in the militia of the British Province of Virginia in 1755. This war was the war that gave Washington his battle experience.
